STOP PRESS - open|box|design has just been awarded BEST OF SHOW, fresh 2010 at Spring Fair International
More soon when we return from Birmingham next week, but we'd thought you'd like to know that we're now the very proud owners of the very first 'Best of Show' award at 'Fresh'.
It's the first day at Spring Fair and it's been a tiring one, but receiving the award at the was simply wonderful.
I don't think we can trump today, but who knows - we have four more days to go!
open|box|design is Fresh... official!
Heading to Spring Fair, Birmingham (7-11 Feb) with our heads held high.
After our success at Top Drawer Spring in London only weeks ago, we're doing it all again in Birmingham, and this time we're zesty Fresh!
If January was anything to go by then 2010 is going to be a real success story for us. In fact we haven't stopped and are loving every minute of it! This time we're heading to Spring Fair, and not just to any old stand. We're going to be one of the proud participants in the special design-led sector called 'Fresh'. As the name suggests, this is where you'll find some of the most innovative, contemporary design in the whole of Spring Fair and we are chuffed to bits to have been selected.
Don't forget, there are TWO new ranges- 'Random Chat' and 'O NO' to be seen along with our big hitters 'Lov3d Up' and 'Brilliant Birthdays'. So please please pop over and say hi.
We're in the Fresh section which is in Hall 3, and our stand is at the front of Fresh - number Z08. See you there!
Two new ranges for Spring 2010
open|box|design release 'Random Chat' and 'O NO'
My word - has 2010 been busy! First of all we planned and prepared for Top Drawer Spring, and secondly we pushed and pushed to finalise two ideas for ranges that we came up with late 2009. We launched them at Top Drawer and boy did they do well!
'Random Chat' is a large, humorous range we've created for the contemporary market and it cheekily celebrates the way we talk and what we talk about (and we're sure 'Mango', the OpenBoxDesign dog thinks in the similar way to this card too!). Be bold, be random and have a look here.
'O NO' is a small range of six cards with one simple, wry, message designed using the elegance of a straightforward layout with bold type and colour. See them here.
We had a blast!
open|box|design's first foray into the world of Earl's Court and Top Drawer was wonderful!
Every time we participate in a trade show we get just that little bit better at it - and a bit more relaxed too! We love doing them and we love meeting previous customers as well as forging links with new ones.
We will never tire of the double take that visitors have with our cards - you only have a split second to make an impression and our 3D cards stand out enough to make that happen. This time round we had several ranges that did the trick. Our 'Brilliant Birthdays' range always sell well, but due in part to Valentines' Day our 'Lov3d up' range hit the spot big time closely followed by the Dogs of Distinction that are our 'Wuff' range. Finally, the two new ranges 'Random Chat' and 'O NO' did remarkably well. 'RandomChat' looks like it's going to be a real big one for us in 2010!
AberdeenshireArts website launch
A refreshing new look
We're very excited to say that AberdeenshireArts have launched their new website that has been created and managed by open|box|design.
The site has improved functionality and hosts a wealth of information on the arts for the North East of Scotland and beyond.
Designtech Aberdeen website launch
Brand new website for Oil and Gas Company
open|box|design are proud to announce the launch of the Designtech website.
This is a compact site that effectively informs with clear information and an appropriate visual flair.
Why we don't have two websites
We've thought about this one for a long time now and it was always going to be a tough call. As you may already know, we've been running as a well regarded design company for over seven years, but we've only been actively designing cards as greeting cards since 2009.
Taking the 3D Challenge
On the one hand, we seem to be getting this right as so many of you love our three dimensional cards. They certainly stand out from the crowd. On the other hand, there is that pesky issue with the display cards, with any card - you almost always just see the flat face of the card on very narrow display shelves.
High times at Home & Gift 2009
Doing well once again!
So we went to Harrogate, and despite some bad weather (and sunshine too), and a fire alarm it was quite a success for open|box|design.
We used the opportunity to launch our new Brilliant Birthdays cards and they went down very well indeed!
We received plenty of orders, and equally of importance to us we had many many enquiries. We're still relatively new to the Greetings market and it's always been key to our plan for the company that we listen to what people like and what we need to do to be even better.
open|box|design in your mailbox
keeping you informed with emails and special offers!
We received so many enquiries from PG Live and the biggest request by far was that people simply wanted to know what we were up to. Our first e-bulletin has already flown the open|box|design nest, but sign up now and keep up to date with what we're up to and to give you access to discounts and special promotions that we'll be running throughout the year. Our e-bulletin service is completely free and you can opt out any time you wish. We do not spam, we do not give your information to anyone else. We will only ever use the service to inform you of what open|box|design are up to.
We're heading to Home & Gift 2009
excited from Aberdeen seeks new trade show to spread the open|box|design love.
We're doing it all again. It's only been a few weeks since PG Live in Islington, but we did so well in London that we'd thought we'd give Harrogate a go too!
Make a note of stand 46B Hall F!
