Aberdeenshire Council

Aberdeenshire Council: A huge range of projects spanning six years and almost every media format you could imagine.

We began working with the Arts Development Team in 2002 and produced the aberdeenshirearts.org.uk website as well as the arts strategy document. That's how it commenced...
It was clear from this point that we were creating more than a series of projects - we were branding AberdeenshireArts.

Our work for Aberdeenshire Council has been exciting, deep and varied and continues to this day. From the early days of creating the large database driven website we have been invovled in a great deal of printed publicity work not only for the core AberdeenshireArts group but also other linked areas, including the Abedreenshire Visual Arts Award scheme, the Perceptions|People|Place conference in Peterhead , the Out There video series, AberdeenshireWritersNews and the printed and web pubicity for the Oak Trees and Fountains exhibition at Drum Castle.

STOP PRESS - AberdeenshireArts has been relaunched
The old site is no more, long live the new site! Please head over to the newsroom for more information on this very new realunch!

NEFA (North East Folklore Archive)

We have produced exhibition panels, printed material and a website (www.nefa.net) for the archives. The look and feel of NEFA is a descendant of AberdeenshireArts. The wealth of photography found in the archive and the use of a gentler colour scheme give NEFA it's own identity.

Public Art
We have produced the public art strategy guidebook as well as the percent for art leaflet - these outline the Council's policy for encouraging the allocation of up to one percent of all infrastructure development costs towards the integration of creative features and employing artists as part of the overall design process.

Aberdeenshire Heritage Fairs
We were commissioned to produce the identity for the Aberdeenshire Heritage Fairs which celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Aberdeenshire. This strong and unusual identity has been created around the many pictish symbols found in the area. It is present on all publicity and the symbols within the typographic design are used as a talking point in presentations given at the fairs.

We continue to work closely with the Council, and our involvement has now expanded to cover culture and heritage as well as our initial approach to the Arts and  Education.
