We love design. We really love design.
We believe in the impact that good design can have for companies and for people in general. In fact, we're the kind of people that like to see more of our clients and we're proud that many have been with us for years and years and over many projects. Some projects we do are serious, some not so. Some are very corporate, some are for children; but whatever we do we give our hearts as well as over fifteen years of experience to do the best we can. We can, and have, done it all, from corporate communications to books for children and from exhibition stands to database-driven websites and to brilliantly innovate print work.
From this year we are also moving into the field of publishing, specifically in the arena of Greetings Cards. It's taken two years of careful planning, not to mention over sixty excellent concepts so please do take a look at this new section.
We believe in what we do. We win awards for what we do. We've even been known to teach the next generation of graduate designers how to do well. So please take a look around, and if you like what we do, get in touch.
An impressive debut at PG Live 09
were there launching our ranges of greeting cards and... we did good!
After weeks of creating, printing, designing, ordering and general hard work we launched at Progressive Greetings Live on Wednesday 27th May. Our aim was to gauge opinion on our cards from industry buyers and seasoned professionals from the UK, Europe and Worldwide and we came away with orders, glowing comments and a golden ticket!

open|box|design moves into publishing
After many years of working solely for clients, we felt that we still had plenty of ideas for ourselves that other people would love to see. So taking pointers from previous award-winning print work, we've created six new ranges of cards covering many areas in both two and three dimensions. The cards are published and initially will be sold direct to trade via trade shows and sales agents. They're innovative, cheeky, positive, enlightening and fun.

Greetings debut at the Design Centre
making Islington the place to be in May
open|box|design is launching several ranges of Greeting Cards at Progressive Live 2009 in Islington, London. This new and Greetings exclusive trade show is on from 27-28th May 2009 and looks like it's going to be the most important Greetings trade show of the year, and naturally we wanted to be part of it.
School kids write it up
For the fourth year open|box|design has been involved in the 'what's the story' project for wordfirsts which has culminated in the production of ten exemplary short stories by secondary school children in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire under this year's title of 'The Writing on the Wall'.
Acid - Commission, don't Copy
open|box|design is proud to be a member of ACID (Anti Copying in Design) and in being so we're making a moral, commercial and political stand against copying.
We're proud of the work we produce and the ACID mark acts as a warning beacon to anyone wishing to copy our work that we will vigorously defend our position as the originators of what we create. Being a member also indicates that we have agreed to ACID's code of conduct which means that you can be assured that the work we produce has not been taken or copied from another designer or company.
