Apologies from the open box elves - we've had the busiest six months in our history so our site has been neglected somewhat. Never fear because we will be updating soon.
However, we're here just to say that we've leaving... again. Alas, not for a round the world trip. Not even for a trip to Skegness. Instead we're off to Top Drawer in Earl's Court (15-17 January) closely followed by Spring Fair International at the NEC in Birmingham (5-9 February).
Come and see us. More importantly, you'll be the first to see a fantastic brand new range!
We love design. We really love design.
We believe in the impact that good design can have for companies and for people in general. In fact, we're the kind of people that like to see more of our clients and we're proud that many have been with us for years and years and over many projects. Some projects we do are serious, some not so. Some are very corporate, some are for children; but whatever we do we give our hearts as well as over fifteen years of experience to do the best we can. We can, and have, done it all, from corporate communications to books for children and from exhibition stands to database-driven websites and to brilliantly innovate print work.
We believe in what we do. We win awards for what we do. We've even been known to teach the next generation of graduate designers how to do well. So please take a look around, and if you like what we do, get in touch.

a brand new range launching at Harrogate Home and Gift
Following in the footsteps of our highly successful Close Knit range is YOH - that's yarn over hook for all you crochet fans out there!
Designed with rich, retro colours, the YOH range homes in on your nearest and dearest and greetings for their special day. The range includes Happy Birthday, Make a Wish, Birthday Snuggles, Birthday Boy, Birthday Girl, Nest, Mum, Dad, Gran, Grandad, 40th, 50th, 60th and 70th Birthdays. And seeing as Christmas gives all of us at open|box|design a warm fuzzy glow, we've also produced six crocheted snowflakes to celebrate the family event of the year - presenting vibrant, graphic snowflakes on a white textured stock they are sure to stand out on that mantlepiece.Hooray for Harrogate
countdown to sun and sales
It’s half show, half holiday (well, it may be the only one we get this year we’re so busy…!) – the openboxdesign team just LOVE Harrogate in July! It’s hard work, but it’s fun work, and this year we’re excited to be bringing more new ranges to Harrogate from our favourite spot of Stand F27 in the Greetings Card Hall.
The week promises to be full of reunions and introductions, as many of the UK’s most interesting independent retailers come to town, and, if previous years are anything to go by, they love our cards! They don’t get much bigger or better than the online success story that is Not on the High Street, and openboxdesign is delighted to have been invited to be part of their online retail family. In addition to a few ranges of our trademark 3-d cards, we have produced some bespoke personalised work that can’t be sourced anywhere else. Designs on the Future
open|box|design judges new talent
Openboxdesign’s Creative Director, Sunil Vishin, was recently invited to be a member of Aberdeen‘s Gray’s School of Art selection panel to judge the best of creative talent at the 2011 Annual Degree Shows. Sunil helped identify the most exciting and creative work across the entire fine art and design departments. The selected works are being purchased for the Gray’s School of Art collection, which forms part of the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Well done to all those selected!

Aden Country Park
Supporting and promoting North East Culture
Here at openboxdesign HQ there’s a lot going on – and it’s not all about cards! (despite how much we love them) We have been commissioned to create the corporate identity, website and publications for the redevelopment of one of Aberdeenshire’s main visitor attractions, Aden Country Park. The park features a Farming Museum, café, shops, historic estate buildings, playpark, walks and a Victorian arboretum – well worth a visit!
We’re also producing internal graphics and decorative vinyls for the interiors of some of our local authority’s libraries. These include a new library in Westhill, Aberdeenshire that has a cool scandi interior – right up our street! Visit the Aden Country Park website here

We're proud of the work we produce and the ACID mark acts as a warning beacon to anyone wishing to copy our work that we will vigorously defend our position as the originators of what we create. Being a member also indicates that we have agreed to ACID's code of conduct which means that you can be assured that the work we produce has not been taken or copied from another designer or company.

The retail section of our site is now complete with a brochure, product sheets and our order form all available to download and print from in high resolution pdf format.
Because we add to our product range several times during the year, we have decided not to have a printed brochure. Instead we have an on-screen version which is of high enough resolution for you to view the quality of our cards in detail. For those of you wishing to view single ranges of cards we have product sheets available for each of our ranges too! And of course we have our order form and terms and conditions here as well.
To view these documents you MUST be a retailer and registered in the retail section of our site. Registering couldn't be easier. It takes seconds - all you have to do is click on the 'register here' box at the right hand side of the retail section, fill out a very short form and click on the link in the email that will automatically be sent to you.
